Constant force spring in metal box

Enclosed constant force springs can be incorporated directly into the structure. This type of constant force spring is made from strips of stainless steel (type 302), and the spring will maintain a constant force over its whole extension. The required spring tension can be increased or reduced by rotating the adjustment unit clockwise or anti-clockwise

Stainless steel tape extension in galvanised house.

Description

SODEMANN INDUSTRIFJEDRE A/S can offer a compact, adjustable, inexpensive, yet extremely useful constant force spring. The constant force spring is housed in a galvanised case with stainless steel tape extension.
Comes with attachment fittings. The dimensions of the case is 84mm * 84mm * 25mm All springs have a maximum extension of 990mm

The hole in the middle measures 6.9mm x 6.9mm x 20mm.

Travel

All standard types have a maximum extension of 990 mm - but only have a constant force over the first 609 mm.

Winding direction

Stock no. "KF100" = right-handed version
Stock no. "KF101" = left-handed version

Fitting and use

  1. Adjustments can only be made when the strip is extended to its maximum travel
  2. The unit is lubricated and requires no further maintenance
  3. Extension must always be straight - never in a way that allows the strip to scrape against the casing, for example
  4. The strip must not be allowed to return uncontrolled into the casing
  5. The strip must not be painted
  6. All adjustments must be made with a 1/4 rotation

The required spring tension can be increased or reduced by rotating the adjustment unit clockwise or anti-clockwise.
